Due to Entropy's post regarding the upcoming update this weekend, Mcgiver and I have decided to make some changes in the contest.

As for the changes..

Due to the possibility of a rollback, we will NOT accept any bars during the test week

We will accept bars until the update happens, but not after

Then, once the update has been declared 'bug free' and that a rollback will not happen, we will pick back up where we left off.

The contest will continue for one week after that time.

Once it has beenmade official that a rollback will not happen, we will re-post with the NEW deadline, after which the wedding will take place

Yes, the wedding has been postponed as well.

Wouldn't it be more sensible to finish the contest before the test week? Surely if they do a rollback all bars will go to waste. So it will be 1 week's waste anyway if something goes wrong.

I'd rather take the next week easy and end the contest on saturday or sunday.

It's for you to decide i'm just thinking aloud.

While I understand you concern grymauch, we are more interested in making the contest as fair as possible and in making materials available to all after the update to work on any new items/quests/etc that occur after that.

During that test week, I suspect we will all be expoloring and getting used to the new game. (at least I will) So I doubt many bars will be made during that week anyway.

This just seems to be the fairest and surest way to handle the contest.

I would tend to agree with grymauch (though I may get shot by segacd), and would be willing to conceed to silk. We are going to want to do quite a bit of exploring of the new maps, and some of us may want to spend time looking for a certain charlatan's changing whereabouts :wink:

Ent said in his post that there will be NO new maps implemented in this update
They will be included in the client ONLY so they can be activated later on without another download/re-install

This has been one great contest, the update is up and mostly working, :shock:

As such and since everyone is getting tired of bars, I am ending the contest.

As of Friday sept 16th, noon, (no exceptions, sorry) the contest will end, please get all bars in to Shallara or McGiver by that time.

I really wish you would start using GMT/UTC instead There is never any confusion about GMT/UTC

It's still unclear on the exact hour first of all there exist 2 CST (america and austraila ) I'm assuming US

Then theres the thing with daylight savings... the american CST is called CDT when in dayligt savings...

Soo... 12:00:00 (24h format) CST... is that
12:00:00 UTC-5 hours CDT
17:00:00 GMT/UTC
18:00:00 BST (Brittish savings time)
19:00:00 UTC+2 hours CEST

Or is it really CST ? (And thus one hour later (18 GMT, 19 BST, 20 CEST)

i will try my best here but, i am on pacific standard time.

i am GMT-08:00 hours if i look at the central standard time shall and mcgiver are at about GMT-06:00 hours (us and canada). and if i am correct we are in daylight savings time so that means we are 1 hour fast of you (maybe) so noon central standard time to you should be GMT-05:00 which is about 11:00am (i think)
