The name is Based off the David Eddings novels that you may have seen discussed in the EL General Forum. There are 12 books. 2 series of 5 books, and 2 stand alone books. The serires are the Belgeriad and the Mallorean. The two individual books are Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress. Pardon any spelling mistakes I have made here, as I am too lazy to check to make sure I have spelled right. Basically the short version of this is, Riva is an island in the book, and the King in Riva is dubbed, "The Overlord of the West","God slayer", and a few others. If you read the guild history it talks about the series some, and sorta sums it up, into some semblance of sense. More than I have been able to do right now laugh.gif

Thats is awesome, i was the one that posted this question in the el forums, and now that i know i respect this guild much more. just because i have loved all 13 of those books, true the Rivan Codex isnt that great of a story but having read the other 12 the Rivan Codex brings alot into understanding. Eddings is one of the greatest storytellers ever and i appreciate he guild for bringing a part of it into eternal lands. ok thats all from me biggrin.gif

Ninja, thank you for your kind words. 8) I knew I should have included the Rivan Codex in my list of books as I was typing it. I have not read it yet tho. One day I will. smile.gif
